The situation in Tbilisi continues to be tense. The demonstrators, who are protesting against the Georgian parliament’s adoption of the law on "foreign agents," are building barricades with garbage cans, iron barriers, and other objects at hand.

Police forces are using tear gas, rubber bullets, water cannons, and other special means to open the central avenues of the Georgian capital, but still in vain.

According to the participants of the rally, there was a provocation by the police. An employee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs stated that the protesters threw bottles at the police.

"The violators were brought into administrative custody. They did not obey the instructions of the police. Did you see the ‘rain’ of bottles? Thanks for so many video cameras; everyone will see. Many of our employees were injured," said the representative of the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs.
