The meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, which will take place on Wednesday in Moscow, is necessary and expected for both sides. Dmitry Peskov, press secretary of the Russian president, told this to reporters, according to RIA Novosti.

"The head of [Russian] state continues to have a very full work schedule. Today, the day is mainly dedicated to the topic of Eurasian integration. In the afternoon, the session of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council will begin in Moscow, which will traditionally be in a narrow format, with an expanded composition, the participants will definitely be photographed together, a so-called ‘family photo.’

It is noteworthy that the presidents of Uzbekistan and Cuba will be present as observers at this extended meeting, which is mainly planned for the tenth anniversary of the signing of the EurAsEC treaty, Peskov said.

Also, according to him, after signing the final documents of this event, Putin will give an informal dinner in honor of the heads of the delegations of the CIS participating countries and the president of Cuba.

"And at the end of the working day, a separate bilateral meeting between President Putin and Armenian Prime Minister Pashinyan is planned. The meeting is necessary and expected for both sides," said Peskov.
