Today, as a result of a mine explosion in the Kirants-Berkaber section of the town of Tavush, contract serviceman G. Mardanyan (born in 1980) was injured. "Tavush for Motherland" movement reports. 

Earlier, NA deputy from the "Armenia" faction Garnik Danielyan said in Kirants that, according to his information, a mine exploded during demining in Tavush, as a result of which a serviceman was injured.

In connection with this statement, Armenian News-NEWS.am asked the Armenian Ministry of Defence for clarification.

"As a result of the mine explosion, there is a wounded serviceman whose life is not threatened. His condition is assessed as satisfactory," the Ministry of Defence replied to our inquiry.
