Azerbaijan continues destroying complexes dedicated to the heroes who became martyrs in the name of the Motherland in occupied Artsakh at the state level. The Office of the Armenian Highland Cultural Heritage Ombudsman reports.

Another target of this policy is the pantheon of heroes of Stepanakert. Information about this is spread through Azerbaijani Telegram channels.

According to Article 4 of the 1954 Hague Convention for the Protection of Cultural Property in Time of Armed Conflict, any acts of vandalism, theft, looting, appropriation, hostility or reprisals against cultural heritage are prohibited. The First Hague Protocol of 1954 prohibits the destruction of cultural or spiritual property in occupied territories," the report said.
