The Russian Defence Ministry has announced the advancement of its troops near Ukraine's Kharkiv Region.

"As a result of offensive actions, units of the North group of troops have liberated the settlements of Borisovka, Ogurtsova, Pletenka, Pylnaya and Strelechya in the Kharkiv region.

They defeated the personnel and equipment of the 23rd and 43rd mechanized brigades of the AFU, the 120th and 125th brigades of the Ukrainian army, and the 15th border detachment of the Ukrainian Border Guard Service in the areas of Volchansk, Veseloye, Glubokoye, Neskuchnoye and Krasnoye in Kharkiv region," the ministry said.

It is noted that the losses of the Ukrainian side over the day amounted to up to 170 servicemen, three armored combat vehicles, and four cars.
