A brawl took place between the lawmakers of the opposition and the ruling majority faction in the Parliament of Georgia, before Wednesday’s plenary session began.

The session was supposed to continue the debates on the bill on foreign agents, reported Mtavari Arkhi television.

This incident started when the opposition MPs protested the beating of Levan Khabeishvili, the leader of the largest opposition party, United National Movement, by special police forces during the demonstrations Tuesday against the aforesaid bill. This protest caused the dissatisfaction of the ruling Georgian Dream Party MPs, who support the aforesaid actions of the special police forces.

Subsequently, the war of words turned into a brawl between the lawmakers.
