According to a decision of the government, redistribution was made in the state budget in order to earmark funding to the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Armenia.

Accordingly, the allocated sum of 1,393,405,800 drams (approx. US$3.5 million) will be directed to the holding of events on the 100th birth anniversaries of famous Armenian filmmaker Sergei Parajanov and renowned French Armenian musician Charles Aznavour.

The 100th birth anniversaries of Parajanov and Aznavour have been included in the 2024-2025 UNESCO calendar of anniversaries of famous people and important events, and therefore the planned respective anniversary events can be held under the UNESCO logo.
