Commenting on Azerbaijan's actions is a ungrateful task. Speaker of the National Assembly (NA) of Armenia, Alen Simonyan, stated this speaking with reporters in the NA Wednesday—and in response to the question whether the latest statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan is preparation of the grounds for a possible provocation.

Speaking about the agenda of the meeting slated in Brussels on April 5, which will be attended by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, and US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, Simonyan did not rule out that the European Peace Facility would also be a topic of discussion and assistance would be provided to Armenia within its framework.

"I can't say anything about the agenda. I returned to Armenia yesterday, and I haven't had the opportunity to communicate with my colleagues yet," added the NA speaker.

And to the question whether the matter of Armenia's EU membership could be discussed at that meeting, Simonyan responded: "We are not discussing such a matter at this phase, and I do not think that such a thing can happen. We'll see what happens."
