The Zhoghovurd newspaper of the Republic of Armenia (RA) writes as follows: According to exclusive sources of the Zhoghovurd daily, by order of the RA Prime Minister, leader of the Civil Contract [(CC)] Party Nikol Pashinyan, the territorial structures of the ruling party have been given an instruction to be fully formed and ready as of March 1.
According to our sources, the work is already underway throughout the republic. An unusual activeness is observed in the [CC] territorial structures, work on the formation, rental, recruitment, and organizational work of [election] headquarters is underway in an accelerated mode.
According to information received by the Zhoghovurd daily, the RA Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Davit Khudatyan has been almost completely focused on headquarters work in recent days, seemingly pushing his direct official duties to the background. Our sources note that he is personally involved in coordinating the process of building headquarters.
According to the same sources, the direct order to intensify the headquarters was transmitted vertically from [PM Nikol] Pashinyan to the prime minister's chief of staff, CC headquarters head Arayik Harutyunyan, who in turn distributed the instruction to the person in charge of territorial administration, Khudatyan.
(...).
Thus, it should be recapped that while there are still rearrangements in the political field [of Armenia] as to who should form a bloc with whom [in order to run in the parliamentary elections to be held in June], the CC has moved on to the next pre-election phase, with concrete actions: it is recruiting people, resources, headquarters, and opportunities.
