The situation surrounding a possible US strike on Iran will be discussed at a meeting of the Turkish cabinet of ministers on Monday, chaired by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, a Turkish diplomatic source told RIA Novosti.

"The meeting of the cabinet of ministers will discuss US threats to strike Iran, as well as recent developments in the region. Turkey's position, which is against military intervention and supports diplomacy and dialogue, will be reiterated," the source said.

According to the source, in this context, the Turkish ministers will discuss the results of Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi's visit to Istanbul over the weekend, his meetings with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, as well as the latter's phone calls with the US and Iranian presidents.
