The famous car collector, designer and Porsche enthusiast Magnus Walker, known in the automotive world under the nickname Urban Outlaw, has decided to auction off a large part of his personal Porsche collection—cars and related items—that he has collected and improved over the decades, Motorious reports.
The auction, called The Magnus Walker Collection, is organized by RM Sotheby's. It will be held from March 18 to 25. About 160 lots will be sold, from cars to parts, accessories, and other collectibles related to his history and style.
Walker’s interest in Porsche began in the early 1990s, when he bought his first 911 at the age of 25. Since then, this passion has defined his career and life: he has not only collected rare and classic models, but also restored and modified them, introducing his own approach. This style, which combines respect for the classic with individual modifications, has attracted a wide audience and made Walker a cult figure among Porsche enthusiasts.
The aforesaid collection, which is now being sold, includes various generations of 911s, from early models to turbo versions and other rare examples, as well as a large number of original parts and accessories collected over the decades.
For the automotive community, such an auction is a rare opportunity; usually collections of such scale and historical value do not come to the market very often. Additionally, this event in many ways symbolizes a new phase in Walker's life and career: he describes the decision to part with some of his collection as a form of renewal and an opportunity to give these cars new owners and new stories.
