The compatriots who were returned from Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) recently are still under constant monitoring, and the necessary medical care is provided to them by the state, Armenia's minister of health, Anahit Avanesyan, told reporters in the National Assembly Friday.

"The surgery of the same Vagif Khachatryan [who was returned recently from Azerbaijani captivity], thank God, was successful, and he is now entering the recovery phase. We are currently implementing the entire organizational part of everyone's health condition," Avanesyan added.

But she did not want to specify how many of the last ten returnees from Artsakh are hospitalized in Armenia.

"There is no need for all people to be in medical institutions. I say that we have implemented all the organizational work related to their health condition today, and will continue to implement [it], as needed. Their [health] condition is satisfactory, they have passed the first phase of examination, and [their] needs will be met next," added the minister of health of Armenia.
