US President Donald Trump announced that he had held negotiations on Iran in recent days and plans to continue them.

He has had them, and he plans to have them, Trump said in response to a question from presidential reporters.

The American leader, however, did not specify with whom specifically or when he held these talks.

Also, the US president reiterated that many “very powerful” American warships were heading to Iran.

"It would be great if we didn't have to use them," he added.

In addition, the US president announced his demands to Tehran.

"I told them two things: number one, no nuclear [weapons], and number two, stop killing protesters," Trump said.
