Indian law enforcement agencies in Rajasthan State have discovered and seized nearly 10,000 kilograms of explosives on the eve of Republic Day anniversary, Hindustan Times reports.

“Based on internal information, a special team of Nagaur police raided the house of accused Suleiman Khan in Tanwul on January 25 and found a large quantity of explosives,” said local police spokesperson Mridul Kachawa.

According to law enforcement agencies, Suleiman had hidden 9,550 kilograms of ammonium nitrate as well as nine boxes of detonators, 15 rolls of blue explosive cord, nine rolls of red explosive cord, etc. in his field.

Investigators have found that the accused supplied explosives to mine owners.

“However, given the large quantity seized, we suspect that he may be involved in a larger conspiracy,” another senior police official said.

Officials said that ammonium nitrate was used in major blasts in the past, including the November 2025 blast near Delhi’s Red Fort.
