An agreement has been reached with the president of the European Parliament to install an Armenian alphabet monument in the area adjacent to the European Parliament’s administrative building in Strasbourg, France.

In this connection, the Armenian government, at its cabinet meeting Thursday, decided to purchase—through the government reserve fund—the respective artistic sculpture from one person.

The amount of the advance payment is set at 60 percent, which is the necessary amount for the preparatory work for this sculpture.
