Hraparak daily of Armenia writes as follows, in part: Yesterday, as a result of special police operations, as is known, the entrance to the road leading from Kirants [village of Tavush Province] to the minefields was [re]opened, but not the Kirants section of the interstate road, which has been closed for almost two weeks.

The police surrounded all entrances into the village, announcing that special operations are underway. However, there is no doubt in the authorities’ circles that even after these operations, the police will not make efforts to [re]open the interstate road, as thereby they will harm the authorities more than they will help.

The thing is that the disaster brought by [PM] Pashinyan—the markers of the new border [with Azerbaijan] or, as he says, the "historical posts—"can already be seen from the road leading from Kirants to the other villages—Voskepar, Baghanis—and elsewhere,.

The Armenian side has handed over important positions to Azerbaijan, and, as a matter of fact, traveling on that road is dangerous, until the final adjustment of the border is made, and will not be in the [Armenian] authorities’ favor if the non-locals also see with their own eyes the new reality and the presence of the enemy in the visible area.
