The US and its satellites want to prevent the implementation of the agreements reached between Armenia and Azerbaijan. This was announced by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov at the press conference held after the meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the CIS countries in Minsk, the capital of Belarus.

"They are attempting to invade all regions of the post-Soviet territory, disrupt the process of stabilizing the situation in the South Caucasus, and want to prevent the implementation of the agreements reached between Armenia and Azerbaijan, with the assistance of Russia,”  said the Russian FM.

According to Lavrov, Russia's strategic allies are under enormous pressure, but they remain loyal to the shared values and principles on which the integration organizations—the EAEU, CIS, and CSTO—are based.

Also, the Russian FM expressed a conviction that strategically, the western line is doomed to failure.
