The draft statement of the National Assembly of Armenia, proposed by the parliamentary opposition on the issue of delimitation of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, was not adopted.

The head of the parliamentary faction of the ruling Civil Contract Party, Hayk Konjoryan, in particular, said that the text of the statement was provided to them one or two hours before the beginning of the closed session. Besides, they actually did not participate in the drafting of the statement.

"Besides, there are a number of provisions in the text of the statement, which, as such, have nothing to do with delimitation and demarcation. Therefore, the ruling party will not participate in the vote," Konjoryan explained.

In his turn, Artsvik Minasyan, secretary of the parliamentary faction of the opposition Armenia bloc, said that the text of the statement will be officially presented from today. Thus, the political majority will be given an opportunity to work on the draft.

Thus, 31 out of 105 MPs voted in favor of the draft law, and only 1 MP voted against it.
